New York magazine and French style magazine Orsérie are reporting that 22-year-old Chinese model Liu Wen was selected as the first Asian face of cosmetics company Estée Lauder. Estée Lauder leads the industry with markets in 140 countries and over 20 different brands.
Liu hit the fashion scene on the fall 2008 runways and quickly rose to fame through gigs with fashion giants Chanel, Hermès and Kenzo. Liu was also the first Asian model to walk the runway for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last year. French model Constance Jablonski, well-known for her work with Vogue, also signed with Estée Lauder. Both women shared the March 2010 cover of Chinese Vogue. With their new contracts, fashionistas can expect to see more of the beautiful duo in the future.
